An Overview of the Asian Labour Ministerial Consultations by IOM -OIM
Forum on Migration and the 2004 Election:The May 2004 elections put under a lithmus test the Absentee Voting law. As a public service, the OFWJC gathered people with a stake on the successful implementation of this law that, while attracted only a dismal participation, provided lessons in OFW's political participation. The forum was held April 2004 at a hotel in Manila.
Forum on Migration Journalism:To help build a framework on media reportage of migration, the OFWJC held its first forum December 2002 among reporters, editors and publishers on the subject. The papers were compiled in the Consortium's first monograph printed December 2004. The forum was held at the University of Sto. Tomas in Manila.
